How it works

You set Radar up together with the Optima team. After that it reads every day on its own.

From first call to first reading

  1. Intro call30 min

The Optima team shows you Radar; you talk through your hotel, your area and the channels you sell on.

  2. Competitor settogether

You choose the competing hotels in your area and the channels to read for parity. A hotel can have several sets.

  3. Accountsemail invite

Your team members are invited by email, set their passwords and see only the hotels they are authorised for.

  4. First reading

Radar starts reading. As readings build up, Rate History and since-yesterday comparisons fill in.

  5. Every day

Check it on desktop or phone. The day’s Excel file can also arrive in your inbox.

What’s in a reading

Each reading collects data for the same nights, for you and your competitors.

  • Competitor rates

The cheapest room and plan each competitor sells for every night.

  • Availability

Nights not on sale on Booking are marked “full”.

  • Promotions

Promotions competitors run, night by night.

  • Channel rates

Your rate on channels other than Booking.com, for parity.

  • Estimated occupancy

A level for area and competitor occupancy: easy, moderate, tight, full.
